Pilates with Donna
Pilates is a practice based on 34 exercises refined by Joseph Pilates to strengthen and stabilize the core. As we work on core stability many other muscle groups also come into play. Some free weights are incorporated as well for those who choose to use them. The exercises are presented at multiple levels to make the class accessible to various levels of exercisers. We work through all three planes of the body for a good balance of strength and flexibility.
Pilates with Donna
Strength, flexibility, balance, breath, and well being are all important in this class. Yoga can be practiced at many levels and while presented at an intermediate level students are encouraged to work at whatever level is right for where they are in their Yoga journey. Asanas (poses) are presented in a Vinyasa (flowing pose to pose) style.
Yoga with Susan
In this class students will learn a yoga routine and lifestyle strategies that can be practiced independently to improve mental and physical health. The class will include 12 basic asanas (postures), sun salutations, two types of pranayama (breath control), relaxation techniques, yoga diet recommendations, positive thinking and meditation methods. For each class wear loose fitting or stretchy fabric clothes, don’t eat for two hours before class, and bring a yoga mat.
